Welcome to the third edition of the ESI newsletter.
This issue features updates on a wide range of policies and initiatives, reflecting the broad range of activity ongoing, both centrally and in local partnerships.
This period has seen two major national launch events, to mark the delivery of key advances: the launch of the National Training Framework for Care Management, and the launch of version 1.0 of the eCare Framework. Articles on both are featured in this edition.
At a local level, Ayrshire recently launched their electronic information sharing solution for single shared assessment. Sharon Gall's article on page six gives details of this excellent development.
With an eye to the future, Brian Duffy has contributed an article on the upcoming launch of the National Practice Forum, which will provide an arena for practice perspectives on a range of Scottish Executive policies and initiatives to be captured.
With updates on Delayed Discharge, the Joint Improvement Team, and the Scottish Consortium for Learning Disability's eSAY project also included, this edition covers a wide spectrum of activity, all focused on delivering better outcomes for the citizens of Scotland.
