5. Armed Forces data for Q1 2005 refer to April 2005, Q2 2005 data refer to July 2005, Q3 2005 data refer to October 2005 and Q4 2005 data refer to January 2006.
6. The BBC has been reclassified from a Pubic Corporation to Central Government. The BBC has been removed from the Public Corporation series for all time points.
The BBC has been included in the total public sector estimate but is not included in any individual sector breakdown. More information can be found in background note 12.
7. Estimates have been revised for every quarter due to improved coverage of organisations and classification changes. More information can be found in background note 6.
8. NHS quarterly workforce data are estimates based on the time series of actual annual data. Estimated data will be revised in future publications with the actual figures. For more information see background note 7.
9. Data for Scottish Parliament, Scottish Business Ombudsman, Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator, Forestry Commission, Electoral Commission and BBC are included in the total public sector but are not included in any individual sector breakdown.
