Marketing Development Scheme ( MDS)
The MDS aims to improve the efficiency of the UK marketing chain. This is done by helping farmers, growers and processors to improve their marketing and commercial expertise and develop efficient marketing structures for both domestic and overseas markets. Grant assistance at the rate of 50% and up to a maximum of £150,000 per project is available under the scheme towards the cost of feasibility studies, the salaries of key marketing staff, training and fees of outside directors.
