A number of the support schemes mentioned in this Guide will close to applications in 2006. These are highlighted individually in the text. Future support in these areas is likely to be brought within the new Scottish Rural Development Programme ( SRDP) 2007-2013. The Programme will be shaped by the consultation on the SRDP which closes at end June 2006. Other schemes mentioned in the Guide may also be affected.
Most subsidy and grant schemes are subject to specific closing dates for receipt of claims or applications. It is in your own interests to apply in good time.
Please note that for many grants, written approval is needed before the work is begun.
Further copies of this publication can be obtained by contacting the General Agricultural Policy Branch on 0131 244 6371.
