  2. All staff are known by their first name.
  3. Mobility training is also provided to pupils at Cannan Lane campus, although, there are additional safety and responsibility issues with regard to independent travel, given the complex learning, communication and physical difficulties of the younger MDVI pupils. As such the scheme detailed in this case study is not appropriate or provided to these pupils .
  4. The mobility training given to pupils is detailed as one of the good practice case studies.
  5. Pupils can phone and pre-book this service and are met and escorted by staff to the platforms required to catch their trains.
  6. Fife User Panels (including Ladybank User Panel) comprise of groups of older people (over 70 years), who live at home but are less able to get out and about without assistance. Each panel meets on a monthly basis to discuss and share their experiences of growing older and their views on a range of local services, including transport. They do not represent other groups, only older people in a similar situation to themselves. Fife user panels are an Age Concern Scotland initiative, funded by Fife Council Social Work Service, NHS Fife and Comic Relief
  7. A 'normal' bus service with a fixed timetable and route, which can be diverted on request to additional, nearby villages. The two Go-flexi buses servicing Ladybank (the F1 and F2 service) were introduced in August 2004. All go-flexi buses are fully disabled/wheelchair accessible.
