CHANGES TO APPROVALS AND AMENDMENTS TO THE LIST OF APPROVED PRODUCTS

1.1 Modified Conditions of Approval

Regulation 27 Letter 2/2005 gave notice under Regulation 27(10)(b) of Scottish Ministers' intention to modify the conditions of approval for in-situ polymeric coatings. This modification takes effect from 1st April 2007.

Scottish Water and lining contractors will be required to adhere to the requirements of " In-situ Resin Coating of Water Mains Operational Requirements". That document and "Code of Practice: In Situ Lining of Water Mains" are already posted on the DWI's website: http://www.dwi.gov.uk/cpp/neworcopindex.shtm. For further information please see Appendix 3.

1.2 List of Products refused Approval under Regulation 31 (4) (a) during 2005

None.

1.3 Prohibition of use of Substances and Products during 2005

During 2005, the Government Authorities did not prohibit the use of any substances or products.

13.4 Revocation of Approval during 2005

During 2005 the Government Authorities issued notices of revocation of approval for the following products:

1.5 Approval of Processes

During 2005 the Government Authorities have neither prohibited the use of any processes nor required Scottish Water to apply for approval of any process.

1.6 Deletions from the list of approved products in 2005

1.6.1 Products deleted because they are no longer supplied or their approval has lapsed
