The checklist is intended to provide support to councils by highlighting where actions may not have been taken or where actions may assist in providing the council with a more inclusive approach to developing policies and service for LGBT people. The checklist can be applied at both a corporate or service level and councils can adapt or amend the checklist to use with Best Value or impact assessment tools.
