Association of Electricity Producers: We question the proposal to include NPF developments in local development plans. This would appear to duplicate the consenting process and place an additional burden on development plan preparation.
British Energy: We question the proposal to include NPF developments in local development plans as host Local Authority's will likely become embroiled in lengthy consultation and debates over issues such as national need and choice of site. As these are the very issues that Parliament would consider, this would appear to duplicate the consenting process and place an additional burden on development plan preparation.
