10 Appendix 2: Online Questionnaire

About this questionnaire

We would like to thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire.

The Scottish Executive is working on a Digital Media Strategy which will help establish Scotland as a world leader in the provision of digital media services by the end of the decade. This Strategy will be based on partnership-working across the Scottish cultural sector and will take account of the needs and aspirations of non-departmental public bodies, local authorities, voluntary organisations, education services and the creative industries. It will also form a response to the Government's ambitious targets for the use of information and communications technologies ( ICT) in the delivery of public services.

The aim of this questionnaire is to gather information which will help the Scottish Executive to develop its strategy for digital media services in Scotland.

Roles and questionnaire responsibilities

The questionnaire is divided into distinct areas. You are invited to complete all those areas you feel able to, although if you are part of a larger organisation you may wish to ask a relevant colleague to answer any questions you feel unable to respond to.

Confidentiality and use of results

Your responses to this questionnaire are completely confidential. The sources of the responses to this questionnaire will not be disclosed without the permission of the relevant organisation. Completion of the questionnaire does not constitute any permission for disclosure or other, which would be sought separately and in writing. The results of the questionnaire will be used to compile an overview of activity within the cultural sector in Scotland; this overview will be largely statistical and analytical. Individual responses will not be used in such a way as to identify the responding organisation.
