Review of NHS Research Ethics Committee System [Health and Community Care]

Following a review of the NHS Research Ethics Committees (NHS RECS) system in England, a report was published on 6 June 2005. The report contains 9 recommendations all of which are of relevance to Scotland. The report's finding will be subject to consultation in England. Given the UK-wide nature of the NHS RECS system, Ministers have agreed that a parallel consultation will be conducted in Scotland.
