5. Fisheries Law in Scotland
In this presentation David Dunkley, from SEERAD's
Freshwater Fisheries and Aquaculture Division will provide
an outline of salmon and freshwater fisheries law in
Scotland. The presentation will cover the following
areas:
- the right to fish for salmon and
freshwater fish;
- Primary legislation from 1318 to
2003;
- Subordinate Legislation;
- access; and
- fishing methods
It is hoped that this presentation will provide some
'food for thought' for the discussion on the provisional
Fisheries Bill 2006/07.
