1. Members will wish to note that the draft guidance on the use of live TV links, screens, identification of suitable special measures and the use of prior statements as evidence in chief were issued for wider consultation on Monday 7 th March. The latter two pieces of draft guidance still require areas to be completed.
Members are invited to use the additional consultation time to the 29 th March to respond with your comments.
2. COPFS, Law Society and SCRA members are asked if they will submit on disk in final format their sub set group guidance produced in December 2004. The Victims and Witnesses Unit will make arrangements to place this on the SE website. Alternatively, members could submit an internet link so these guidance documents can be easily accessed by other practitioners where necessary.
Members are asked to advise which option they would prefer.
