The Scottish Executive has developed an online
resource to provide teachers and youth workers with
practical materials that can be used to raise awareness
of sectarianism and religious intolerance.
The resource includes examples of current good practice
as well as a broad range of class teaching and group work
materials.
Who is the resource for?
Pre-school early years, primary and secondary-aged
pupils.
Where does it fit in the curriculum?
The resource fits in the inclusion and equality agenda
and is not another 'add-on' to the curriculum. Its primary
aim is to promote anti-discrimination and it can be used
flexibly across the curriculum and in promoting wider
school objectives.
The materials help develop skills for active citizenship
and can be used in personal and social development (PSD) as
well as subject areas including RME, social subjects and
English.
