ANNEX E Farm and woodland information pack
The list of items below should be included in the Pack.
This list is not exhaustive and applicants are encouraged
to consider what other information would be useful for
visits and talks to the general public.
- Farm/woodland name and address and other contact
details (phone, e-mail and/or website address)
- Location plan and directions to farm/woodland
- Availability for visits or talks (e.g. weekdays
only April-October)
- Access for restricted mobility
- Health and Safety issues
- Parking availability
- Farm/woodland description: provide information on
size, history, landscape and climate, and any notable
features or designations
- Public facilities (e.g. toilets, shelter, picnic
areas);
- Activities available: (nature trail, pond-dipping,
meet the animals, etc.);
- Habitats/species available for study;
- Farm/woodland management: stocking, cropping,
environmental conservation and enhancement,
diversification;
- Optional information sections: a day in the life of
the farmer, the farming year, growing crops
information, keeping animals information, caring for
the countryside.
