MONITORING AND EVALUATION OF THE SCOTTISH COMPACT Baseline Results 2004
APPENDIX FOUR: 2004 SCOTTISH COMPACT VOLUNTARY SECTOR MONITORING SURVEY
Scottish Compact Voluntary Sector Monitoring Survey
The Scottish Compact is an agreement between the Scottish Executive, its agencies and Non-Departmental Public Bodies (NDPBs)* and the voluntary sector. Its aim is to promote more effective joint working. This is to be attained by all parties to the Compact meeting a set of commitments. These range from the relatively abstract (for example greater mutual recognition and understanding) to more specific ones such as joint monitoring and evaluation of the Compact's implementation.
The purpose of this short survey is to establish a baseline against which it will be possible to measure progress in implementing the principles of the Compact over time.
You may feel that the survey is not relevant to the work of your organisation. However, all arms of government in Scotland are Compact signatories and all voluntary and community sector organisations are, at some time, affected by government actions. Accordingly you are likely to be affected by it in some way.
Please complete the survey as fully as possible and return it, (by 11th of August) in the enclosed stamped addressed envelope, to:-
GEN Consulting
Claremont House
20 North Claremont Street
Glasgow
G3 7LE.
All responses will be treated as confidential and will only be used in an aggregated form so that it will not be possible to identify you or your organisation.
Should you require further information about the Compact or this survey please contact:-
- Loraine Gray at GEN Consulting who are carrying out this work on the Executive's behalf (0845-120-6244); or
- Alister Murphy in the Executive's Voluntary Issues Unit (0131-244-2086).
Thank you in advance for your co-operation.
* The Compact covers all Departments of the Scottish Executive, agencies such as Communities Scotland and Scottish Water, NDPBs such as Scottish Natural Heritage and Sportscotland and all National Health Service Bodies including Health Boards.
