SINGLE FARM PAYMENT SCHEME

I enclose copies of the latest issues of information leaflets about the above.

Information Leaflet 10 - Contains further guidance about Set Aside eligibility and arrangements for Non-food Set Aside. You should read this together with Information Leaflet 6.

Information Leaflet 11 - Explains the arrangements for the National Reserve, how it will operate, who can apply, what categories are available, and how we will make awards. It comes with an application form, for the 2005 National Reserve.

Please note: Woodland creation through the Scottish Forestry Grants Schemes. Consolidation for woodland creation from 1 January 2003 to 16 May 2005 can be applied for in the 2005 IACS application. An application for consolidation can also be made in the 2006 IACS return for woodland creation between 17 May 2005 and 16 May 2006.

Important Dates to Remember

31 January 2005 -

is the opening date for applications to the National Reserve

14 March 2005 -

is the closing date for five of the categories - Investments, Leased Land, Purchase of Leased Land, Re-conversion of Production, and New Entrants.

16 May 2005 -

is the closing date for Dairy Farmers & Hardship, and Transfer of Leased Land. You must also apply by this date for the consolidation of entitlements using your 2005 IACS / AAA form that we will be sending you in March 2005.
