EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The Youth Consultation on Smoking in Public Places run by Young Scot collected the views of
over 4000 young people across Scotland. The results of the consultation clearly show that smoking is an issue which many young people feel strongly about.
This report details the outcome, and detailed feedback from young people collected throughout the consultation. Key findings from the consultation show that:

4,037 responses from young people across Scotland!
64%* of young people in Scotland believe that smoking in public places should be banned!
66%* of young people in Scotland believe that there should be some places where smoking is allowed!
75%* of young people in Scotland believe more needs to be done to reduce the affects of second-hand smoke!
