Strategic direction to the Enterprise Networks and an enterprise strategy for Scotland
conclusion
Our vision is of an ambitious, confident Scotland where the benefits of a strong, dynamic economy are shared across all communities. Set firmly in the context provided by FEDS, this refreshed SSS is a strategy for promoting enterprise in order to meet our objectives of improved productivity and sustained and sustainable growth. It provides the Enterprise Networks with a clear set of priorities and requires them to work effectively in partnership with others. Everything the Networks do must have a clear economic rationale but the design and delivery of programmes will take account of Ministers' commitment to closing the opportunity gap.
This blueprint for enterprise in Scotland details how we will create the conditions for business growth and innovation, underpinned by a skilled, productive workforce. Implementation and delivery will require not only the efforts of the Executive and the Enterprise Networks but also the support of the business community, educational establishments, trade unions and the wider public sector. A wide range of organisations and individuals have contributed to this strategy. To achieve progress, our efforts must be continuing and consistent. The refreshed strategy can give renewed impetus but the hard work continues.
