connect: report on implementation of Better Behaviour - Better Learning, 2004

foreword to the Connect Report

Peter PeacockThis report reveals to me once more that the education community in Scotland is applying creativity and commitment to improving our schools. There is work going on in all parts of Scotland to promote positive behaviour and to implement the recommendations of Better Behaviour - Better Learning. This report helps to share the practice that is developing as part of a wider programme of information exchange being taken forward by the National Development Officer for Promoting Positive Behaviour.

Progress is made by taking good ideas and applying local knowledge to shape a local solution. I hope that education authorities will use this report to reflect on what further practice they can share with their colleagues throughout the country, and on what they can usefully learn from others' developments.
