What is Know The Score?Know the Score is the corporate brand for media campaigns, a website, a 24-hour information line and drug information materials, which links together all national and local organisations involved in tackling drugs misuse in Scotland. Know the Score spans a broad range of partnership activities; its fundamental aim is to sign-post the public towards quality information and advice about drugs misuse across Scotland. Know the Score is used by the Scottish Executive, national agencies and local bodies for information campaigns and materials. This draws on best practice to ensure access to consistent and reliable information. About this DirectoryThis Directory is divided into three separate sections; National Organisations, Drug Action Teams and Local and Community Services. National organisations are made up of a range of key partners who are involved in tackling drugs in Scotland. Many of them produce materials about the work they are involved in at a national and local level. Drug Action Teams are the focal point for local action on drug misuse. They comprise of representatives from key agencies involved in tackling drug misuse locally, including local authorities, police, health services, prisons and voluntary sector organisations. As a central point of contact, they can provide details about a number of local initiatives and services. Many local and community services exist across Scotland and offer specialist help, support and advice to meet a range of needs relating to drugs misuse. A number of them provide specific information and guidance on drugs issues. The Directory has been produced by the Scottish Drugs Forum (SDF) in association with Know the Score.
