The Beef Special Premium Scheme

The Scheme was introduced in 1993 to give direct support to beef producers. Only male cattle are eligible for premium, and a beef producer must undertake to retain claimed animals on his holding for two months from the day after the Department receives his application, unless he specifies a later date on the claim form.
