2002 FIFTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THE PLANNING AUDIT UNIT
THE PLANNING AUDIT UNIT
The Planning Audit Unit was formed in 1996 to review councils' development control performance, to work with individual councils to identify best practice and areas where improvements could be made to the processes and services. The audits were later extended to cover development planning. Two thirds of Scottish councils have now had a planning audit. The map shows Audit coverage to date and proposals for the coming year.
