SERVICE DELIVERY
12. Year Round Components of Service Delivery
Standard Statement
LHCCs and Trusts ensure provision of core services for school age children and young people throughout the year.
Rationale | Criteria | Achieved | Action Plan |
The needs and problems of school age children and young people are not restricted to term time and are often more exaggerated during the school holiday periods. This needs to be reflected in appropriate service provision. | - There are local arrangements to ensure limited core services are available to meet identified needs of school aged children and young people during holiday periods including for example:
- Work with looked after children or children in specialist units
- Work with groups of children and young people accessing New Community Schools activities outside term time.
- Supporting children, young people and their families who have been identified as vulnerable or in need of support during the school year
- *Drop-in facilities or clinics e.g. sexual health, healthy eating, enuretic clinics.
