MANAGING RADIOACTIVE WASTE SAFELY
Acknowledgements
The authors of this report would like to thank all those who contributed to the study, particularly the people who gave up their time to take part in the focus groups held in Glasgow, Thurso, Lochgoilhead and Stirling. Their enthusiasm and willingness to engage with some complex, long-term issues made each event a stimulating experience. We would also like to thank those who assisted with recruitment of participants, including Claire Dunbar of Stirling Council, the Youth and Community Work Staff who identified participants for the Young People's focus group and accompanied them, to Ailsa Clark who organised and ran the Young People's Focus Group and to Alex Downie for developing material, focus group facilitation in Glasgow and Thurso, his input into the literature review and the production of the young people's focus group report.
In addition, we are grateful to those who took part in in-depth interviews and the Stakeholder focus group. Their willingness to share knowledge and experience, and be open to the suggestions of others, helped to deepen our insight at each stage. In addition we would like to thank each member of the Advisory Group who provided helpful support and guidance throughout the period of the study (from January to May 2002).
