Asylum Seekers in Scotland

This research will assess the effect of the implementation of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999 on asylum seekers and devolved services in Scotland. The study will involve in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, service providers, asylum seekers and local community organisations, and will include elements to identify and assess good practice and to monitor media content and coverage of asylum seeker issues.

Scoping the New Ethnic Minority Survey: Views from Ethnic Minority Communities

Year One Monitoring Of The Child Poverty Package

The Child Poverty Package, a new package of initiatives to assist lone parents into further and higher education by supporting childcare costs and improving childcare supply, was launched in July 2001. This study will involve design of a monitoring framework for two key elements of this package, and collection and analysis of the first year of monitoring data.

Low Income Households with Children: an Exploratory Study

Embedding Social Justice Milestones and Mainstreaming Equality

Research to explore practice across public sector organisations and to consider how to extend and strengthen use.

Equality Proofing the Social Inclusion Partnerships Monitoring & Evaluation Framework

Proofing existing framework with a view to informing improvements and learning lessons for other policy initiatives.

Ethnicity Classification

Programme of research to explore issues around ethnicity classification and to make recommendations for future classifications.
