NHS member re-appointment

Cabinet Secretary for Health, Wellbeing and Cities Strategy, Nicola Sturgeon, today announced the reappointment of a Member to Tayside NHS Board.
The member is:
Mrs Angela Scott – brings to the board a background in finance and experience of working in the public sector. Angela is Head of the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy in Scotland. She is a qualified accountant with over 10 years experience of working in the public sector and 10 years experience of public policy in Scotland. Angela does not hold any other ministerial appointments.
This reappointment will be for four years and will run from August 1, 2012 to July 31, 2016.
This post is part-time and attracts a remuneration of £8,008 for a time commitment of eight hours per week.
NHS Tayside is responsible for meeting the health needs of around 400,000 people living in Tayside, and provides a comprehensive range of primary, community-based and acute hospital services for the populations of Dundee City, Angus and Perth & Kinross.
This reappointment is regulated by the Public Appointments Commissioner for Scotland.
All appointments are made on merit and political activity plays no part in the selection process. However, in accordance with the original Nolan recommendations, there is a requirement for appointees’ political activity within the last five years (if there is any to be declared) to be made public. Angela Scott has not had any political activity in the last five years.
