Revised Household Below Average Income statistics

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has published revised 'Households Below Average Income Statistics 2005-06' after identifying errors in the figures.
These revisions will have a minor effect the Scottish Executive Statistics Publication Notice 'Scottish Households Below Average Income (SBAI) 2005-06', released on March 27.
Revised estimates for Scotland published today include a change since 1998-99 in the number of pensioners in relative low income.
The previously estimated figure showed the number had reduced by 22 per cent, but the revisions show the figure at 17 per cent.
The full and revised SBAI figures will be published on May 30.
