Family trends research published
24/03/2004
Research findings into trends in families and attitudes towards family life among the Scottish population are published today.
Also published are two research reports on Child Contact Centres.
The Scottish Network of Child Centres describes these as 'neutral, safe and welcoming venues, which exist to promote and support regular contact between parents and children who no longer live together'.
The reports describe the families using contact centres, the staff working in the centres and the experiences of families, staff and referrers.
All research projects were undertaken as part of the Executive's commitment to evidence-based policy making in advance of the forthcoming consultation on Family Law reform.
