First Minister Jack McConnell, in an on-the-record
briefing at St Andrew's House in Edinburgh today, spoke of
the importance of the week ahead.
He said he would make a statement in Parliament about
the Fresh Talent project which aims to reverse Scotland's
declining population.
He said the first stage of the Court Reform Bill would
be heard in Parliament and that on Thursday the latest
health statistics would be published, giving an independent
assessment of whether targets set by the Executive were
being reached.
