Sheep Annual Premium Scheme
27/01/2004
Sheep producers are reminded that in order to receive
full payment of subsidy under the Sheep Annual Premium
Scheme, claims must be submitted by Wednesday February 4,
2004.
Claims will continue to be accepted up to February 29,
2004 but any premium paid will be reduced by one percent
for each working day late. Claims received after February
29, 2004 cannot be accepted.
Guidance Notes and claim forms were sent to all known
sheep producers on December 1, 2003. The claim form SAP
2004 should be used by all producers. If a producer
requires an additional copy of this form this can be
obtained from their local area office.
Producers wishing to trade quota are also reminded that
they must submit transfer or lease notification forms
before the end of the application period. Notifications of
transfers or leases will not be accepted after February 4,
2004.
As an alternative to submitting a SAP paper claim,
producers with access to the Internet can complete an
online version and submit it electronically to SEERAD.
Claiming this way is voluntary but electronic submission
dates offer some benefits including online checking of
compliance with scheme rules. Further information and
details can be obtained at
www.scotfarmonline.gov.uk.
Sheep annual premium payments are made on eligible ewes
maintained by sheep producers for a fixed 100 day retention
period . The Sheep Annual Premium is a European Union
funded payment.
For the 2004 Scheme there is one application period in
Great Britain. This runs from December 4, 2003 to February
4, 2004.
Producers who are unsure of their eligibility under the
2004 Scheme should contact their local SEERAD Area Office
immediately.
