The BPC is a statutory, levy-funded body with responsibility for commissioning research and development, home market and export promotion and the collection and dissemination of statistics on behalf of the GB potato industry.

Robert Doig (who replaces David Stewart) and Fraser Scott join Douglas Harley in representing the Scottish potato industry on the Council.
