Gun arsenal on display

First Minister Jack McConnell and Prime Minister Tony
Blair visited the Lothian and Borders Police station at St
Leonard's in Edinburgh tonight.
They were shown dozens of firearms surrendered during a
recent amnesty which allowed owners to hand in illegal guns
and ammunition without fear of prosecution.
The government is currently considering ways of
improving firearm laws in response to an increasing number
of incidents.
