Death of Barry Wallace - man arrested

William Frederick Ian Beggs, aged 36 years from Kilmarnock has been arrested by the Dutch Authorities.
A warrant for the arrest of Mr Beggs was obtained by the Procurator Fiscal at Kilmarnock on 21 December 1999. Mr Beggs is alleged to have abducted and murdered Barry George Wallace of Kilmarnock.
A Letter of Request was sent by the Crown Office to Amsterdam District Court and Mr Beggs has been remanded in custody by the Dutch Authorities pending extradition procedures.
