As First Minister, I believe that Scotland has the people, the talent and the resources to be among the world's most successful nations.
Therefore, the focus of my Government is to create a more successful country with opportunities for all of Scotland to flourish, through increasing sustainable economic growth.
Reporting on 100 days provided a very clear account to the Scottish people of the progress we have made since the national parliamentary elections on May 3. Choosing Scotland's Future presented the case for independence - its benefits and opportunities - and provided a starting point for a national debate on constitutional change.
Now, in Principles and Priorities, we will set out our plans - both legislative and non-legislative - for maintaining that momentum over the parliamentary year ahead.
This outlines a fresh approach to government as well as an invitation to everyone in Scotland to work with us for a better future for our nation and keep us on the course for greater success.

Alex Salmond, First Minister
