The Independent Budget Review Panel issued its Initial Call for Contributions document on March 8, 2010. As well as outlining the broad economic and financial context for the Review, the document invited written submissions in response to a framework of issues and key questions to consider.
The Panel received and considered 97 written submissions in response to its Call for Contributions, from a wide cross-section of organisations and individuals across Scotland.
The submissions were published alongside the Panel's report on July 29, 2010. They provide a wealth of complementary information on a broad range of issues arising from the budgetary challenges which Scotland faces.
The Panel members drew extensively on the information contained in these submissions in their report and were most grateful to all those who took the time to contribute to the Review in this way.
