Ian Sanderson

Devolved government in Scotland is continually striving to meet the challenges of contemporary Scottish society through effective and innovative policy solutions. Analytical services have a key role to play in ensuring that policy formulation and delivery is supported by the best possible evidence to enhance our capacity to deliver public value for the people of Scotland.

The Corporate Analytical Services Directorate (CASD) is headed by Ian Sanderson and brings together the Office of the Chief Economic Adviser (OCEA) and the Office of the Chief Statistician (OCS) to provide a coherent, cross-profession approach to analytical work on corporate and cross-cutting issues and a stronger link to Ministerial priorities.
