Divisional Solicitor Criminal Justice, Police and Fire Division
Gordon McNicoll,
Gordon has been a Government lawyer for most of his professional career, which started more years ago than he cares to remember. Since joining the former Scottish Office Solicitor's Office he has undertaken work in a variety of areas including property, contracts, litigation (judicial review, inquiries and reparation), legislation and advisory work. In 1999 he was assigned to the Scottish Executive Solicitor's Office where he has remained ever since, becoming Head of the Criminal Justice Police and Fire Division in 2006. This Division provides legal services to Criminal Justice Directorate, Police & Community Safety Directorate and Scottish Prison Service and Gordon has been involved in, and tried to help with, the range legal work that these Directorates generate.
