Paul Johnston
Paul joined the GLSS in 2000. For a number of years, he advised the Scottish Prison Service, handling high profile litigation such as Napier v the Scottish Ministers. He also worked in the Lord Advocate's Legal Secretariat, supporting the Law Officers in their provision of advice to the Scottish Government.
Paul now heads the Constitutional and Civil Law Division of SGLD. In that capacity, he oversees the provision of advice to a wide range of areas within the Scottish Government including directorates responsible for finance, constitution, law and courts, strategy and ministerial support and public service reform.
