Objectives
- Improve public health and public safety through effective licensing
- Bring offenders to justice and deter others through effective law and enforcement
- Deliver justice for victims and accused through a fair, efficient and effective criminal justice system
- Improve public safety and reduce reoffending through effective, appropriate sentencing and disposals
- Improve public safety and reduce reoffending through more effective sentence management and reintegration
- Promote public and community confidence in the justice system
- Work closely with colleagues across government to reduce crime by addressing the causes of offending and victimisation
- Ensure our public services are high quality, continually improving, efficient and responsive to local people's needs
