The Scottish Government consults the public in order to gather views to help it carry out its work effectively. For example, when making a new policy or considering changes to an existing policy
You can usually take part in consultations by paper or by email. For some consultation exercises it may also be possible to give your views in a range of other ways, for example by completing an online questionnaire or by attending a public meeting
